Signing a Bill |
How many times have all of us seen the President of the United States, sign a Bill into law. It happens all the time. But, as the President signs the bill...I've always thought...what could be so difficult about signing a piece of paper? But, year after year...it's the same old story, and it doesn't matter who's in office. Usually surrounded by Congressional members; Cabinet members, and invited guests, the President picks up a pen to sign the document...scribbles... and nothing...the pen doesn't write. He picks up another pen...scribbles...and the same thing happens...doesn't write...this goes on with pen after pen... pens that don't write! During the ceremony, the President goes thru about a dozen pens that don't write, and it has to be embarrassing, not only to the President, but to the people of America! |
