. The Little Computer Nerd That Could... (I think I can...I think I can...) Many of us are new to computers and all the new technologies, and I'm new to all of it as well. When I first started learning about computers, I thought a cursor was somebody who cussed a lot; I thought an apple was something that grew on a tree; and I thought a megabyte was something that was done to a slice of pizza; I thought a cookie was bought in a grocery store or baked at home, and I thought a blog was located between the pancreas and the appendix...well...e-x-c-u-s-e...m-e-e-e! Anyway...after a slow start, I managed to educate myself about computers, by completing several courses at a local community college, by reading several books, and subscribing to several computing magazines. I went on-line, and as I put my website together, I realize there is so much more to learn, and I'll do that, by trying to keep up with the latest changes in the computer-related technologies. The more educated I got...the simpler everything got...HTML;ISP; DHTML; FTP; GUI; GIF; DOC; JIF; ISDN; JPEG; MIMF; PPP; PNG; PDF; SLIP; VRL; VRML; WYSIWYG...PING-PONG... Geeeee... where I put that bottle of aspirin... |
