* Policy *
* Like my website, this show is for kids, women, seniors and families. There will be NO dirty humor at this show. A person doesn't have to be dirty to be funny.
* Everything appearing in the show, will be listed and shown in each of the three Sections/display pages, in the form of graphics or description, so the organization will know ahead of time as to what the show constists of.
* There will be no religious or political material displayed; no inappropriate material, etc.
* This show is for schools; non-profit/charitable organizations; hospitals; non-profit arts and crafts shows, etc.
* This show is not for churches/or religious groups of any kind; politics/political groups; controversial groups such as abortion; smoking, etc. No tobacco or alcohol-related businesses or groups of any kind.
* I will require a letter from the organization (on organization stationary), detailing the organization event; the why; who; where; what; when; and two contact persons.
* I will require at least 30 days notice of the event by the organization. (in writing)
* There will be no sales; soliciting; or hand-outs of any kind on my part. Three and the book page. None of these will be part of the show. You can see these pages and then reture here. This show is for the public to enjoy without sales pitches!
* I know the question of displaying at businesses is going to come up, so I might as well address it now. If the show is successful, and that will take time, consideration will be given to the business community, but there will be a fee attached to the show. Other than that, I haven't given it much thought.
* I'm trying to make this show as organized as possible, that I would like to be able to set it up in about 30 minutes. If I can do this, I can set up this show for the members of the organization as a "preview" in its entirety BEFORE the show/event. At this time (July, 2007) all this is just on paper, but I think I can do it, because of the way I'm building the displays. If this can be done, the members of the organization can ask questions and we can make changes can be made before the show/event, etc. What this means, is that I want the members of the organization to be happy with the show, and free of worry that something might not be suitable for display or some other reasons, etc. There's only so much any of us can do on a computer or in photos. (I will let you know later what I can do) |

*Introduction* Over my lifetime, and like everyone else, I've had my share of life's ups and downs! But, for the most part, Old Glory has been good to me and my family, so I must give back. And, I choose to do this by putting together a show for free to hopefully benefit others. |
Back to the drawing board! |
Why Didn't Think of That? How many times have you asked yourself that question? This show is about humor and creativity! |
Orange Barrel Institute (Think tank) (Orange New Jersey)
According to the Orange Barrel Institute, who does research on the motoring public, has stated that anxiety, stress and road rage is at an all time high in this country, and many motorists may be suffering from one on the little-known conditions listed below: * PMS - Post Motoring Syndrome * PTSD - Post Traumatic Street Disorder * SAD - Seasonal Asphalt Disorder * RSD - Reflex Street Distrophy (Common in older drivers) |
Oh no...there goes our vacation...orange barrels as far as the eye can see! |
What's one of the best ways to learn? From others, right? Other people's experiences...both good and bad; their education; skills; talents; wisdom and so forth. All of us are teachers AND students in life. We're always teaching our kids or someone else something...and at the same time in this high-tech society, we're always learning something from somebody else, etc. We all have to to keep pace with technologies, which change at a dizzying pace...and if we don't, we'll fall off this fast-moving train!
In his book, Sam Walton (Wal-Mart) stated that he never stole ideas from his competitor's. But, he would go see what and how they were doing things, and take those ideas...and modify them for his own use. And, that's what my website and this show is all about...sharing! People can come to my website or my show, and modify ideas for their own use...because humor and creativity just seem to go together! SHARING! |

* I've been wanting to do a show like this for a long time, but one thing or another always seemed to get in the way. The best way to proceed, is to try to limit the amount of time and money spent on the project. The best way to do that, has been to get out announcements about the show to organizations; businesses and indivuals, and see what the response will be. Testing the waters, if you will, to see if there is any interest in the show, or if I get my "rejection slip" early on! If there is no or not much interest, the idea for the show will be abandoned, and I will go back to doing my other projects. |
New and updated information will be entered in this section on a regular basis |
"Life has no limitations...except the ones you make." Les Brown |
* About 50 announcements of the show were mailed out to various organizations around town. Organizations can get on my mailing list by sending me a note by snail-mail (organization stationary) at PO Box 81161, Albuquerque, N.M. 87198. Name of organization; contact person; address; phone number. Those getting on the mailing list will recieve an acknowledgment of receipt by way of snail-mail. |
Reminder: Every time you see some of those pesky orange barrels out in the streets...think of me, won't you? |
"Humor can be dangerous to your illness". Steve Sultanoff
The quotes that you see dotting these pages will be at the bottom of almost every page at the show, along with the following: "The Bumpy Road of Life takes us to the School of Hard Knocks!" |
"Treat your friends as you do your pictures...put them in the best light" Jennie Jerome churchill |
"Life is 10% of what you make it...and 90% of how you take it" Irving Berlin |
"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there" Will Rogers |
"Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the receipient may cherish them over a lifetime" Dale Carnegie |
"You cannot do a kindness to soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late" Ralph Waldo Emerson |
"Nothing of great value in life comes easily" Norman Vincent Peale |
* Everyone is creative and so are YOU! I don't, necessarily, want this Section to look like my Front Page, but. like my website, this show is about humor and creativity. (ideas) A person doesn't have to be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon, to get great ideas for use around the home, the work place or for personal use, etc. |
